New York Times labor reporter Steven Greenhouse will speak alongside Dan Cantor, founder of New York’s Working Families Party at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Place, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. Two experts in the field of labor advocacy, Greenhouse and Cantor will discuss challenges facing the US workforce in the context of the current economic crisis, and with an eye toward the elections in November.
“We’re one of the largest synagogues and cultural institutions in Park Slope,” says Congregation Beth Elohim Rabbi Andy Bachman, “and we want to be relevant. I am looking forward to hearing Steven Greenhouse and Dan Cantor discuss labor at a time when economic issues are the most relevant.”
