A punk tried to rob a bank on Avenue U on Jan. 25, but left empty-handed.
The victim told police the crook entered the bank near E. 17th Street at 2:20 pm and passed a note to the teller that demanded money. However, the teller didn’t give the would-be thief any money, and he fled on Avenue U in an unknown direction, according to a police report.
Group robbery
More than a dozen good-for-nothings viciously beat and robbed a man on McDonald Avenue on Jan. 28.
The 23-year-old victim said he was walking near Kings Highway at 5 pm with a friend when 15 to 20 men he didn’t know started punching and kicking him in the face and body. After the assault, he realized his iPhone 6S was missing, police reported.
Officers said the victim suffered bruising and swelling to his right eye and pain to his rib cage. Police did not find the thieves nor the phone after searching the area and using the Find My iPhone app.
Five on one
Five lowlifes threatened a teenager with a knife and stole his bike and his phone on Gravesend Neck Road on Jan. 24.
The 19-year-old man said he was riding his bike near E. 22nd Street at 5:20 pm when the thieves walked up to him and pushed him to the ground. One drew a knife and took the man’s iPhone 5SE from his right pants pocket, while another rode off with his bike, according to authorities.
Office break-in
A cretin broke into and ransacked an Avenue T office sometime overnight on Jan. 21.
A worker said she left the office near Coney Island Avenue at 6:45 pm on Jan. 21, but when she returned at 8:30 am the next day, she found the front door had been forced open and debris scattered on the floor. She said the phone was off the hook, drawers were open, and the alarm system was cut and on the floor in the conference room, officers noted. The alarm company said there was an alarm set off at 6:45 pm, police stated.
Bodega burglary
A crowbar-wielding miscreant broke into an E. 16th Street bodega on Jan. 21 and left with cash.
The victim said an unknown thief broke into the back door of the store located between Kings Highway and Quentin Road with a crowbar around 9 pm while nobody was there. The thief took an unknown amount of cash, according to officials.
Police said there is video footage of the incident.
Busted in
A no-goodnik robbed a house on Avenue T on Jan. 25.
Police said they responded to a burglary alarm at the home near E. 22nd Street at 5:05 pm. Officers said they found the front door wide open, and the door frame broken.
Cops said two drawers in the upstairs bedroom were ransacked, but they didn’t know what was taken. There is video footage of the incident.
