Brutal mug
A group of men and women beat and robbed a 43-year-old man on Fifth Avenue on March 17.
The 43-year-old victim told cops that he was at the corner of 85th Street at around 2:15 pm when the suspects walked up, grabbed him from behind and began punching and kicking him.
The victim fell to the ground, and the thugs grabbed $60 from his front pocket before fleeing toward Fourth Avenue.
Gym rats!
Thieves broke into at least two gym lockers in separate incidents last week, stealing cash and credit cards from patrons of neighborhood sports clubs.
First, someone racked up more than $2,800 worth of charges on a credit card that he had snatched from a Third Avenue health club on March 12.
The victim, 25, told police that he placed his wallet in one of the lockers inside the New York Sports Club, between 71st and 72nd streets, at around 1 pm.
When he opened the undamaged locker just one hour later, his wallet — and the debit and credit cards inside — were gone.
Then, someone nabbed more than $50 from a Fourth Avenue gym on March 16.
The 31-year-old victim told cops he locked up his wallet and clothes inside of Dolphin Fitness, between 87th and 88th streets, at around 10:30 pm. When he returned after his workout, the cash as well as his debit and credit cards were gone.
