Eric Bogosian is coming to Gowanus.
More precisely, he’ll be narrating Syntax Error’s “In the Shadow of No Tower (After Art Spiegelman)” at the Issue Project Room on Sept. 11.
But don’t wait to save the date; tickets are on sale now for this must-see evening of cinema mixed with live performance that recalls Spiegelman’s experiences during the 9-11 attacks.
“In the Shadow” is an animated film inspired by his graphic novel “In the Shadow of No Towers.” The screening is enhanced by a live soundtrack performed by composer-musician Elliott Sharp and spoken word offered by Bogosian (“Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “Talk Radio”).
“In the Shadow of No Tower (After Art Spiegelman)” by the Syntax Error will be staged at 8 pm on Sept. 11 at the Issue Project Room [The (OA) Can Factory, 232 Third St., third floor, at Third Avenue in Gowanus]. For $15 advance reservations, e-mail reservations@issueprojectroom.org. Admission is $20 at the door. For more information, call (718) 330-0313. — Lisa J. Curtis
