Watch Gersh eat his last Jacques Torres cookie!

The Brooklyn Paper

As you know, the staff of The Brooklyn Paper will be moving from DUMBO to spiffy new offices in the Metrotech complex next week. All week, Editor Gersh Kuntzman has been gorging on DUMBO’s culinary riches — and inviting viewers along for the juicy ride. In yet another installment in his ongoing series, “The Last Days of DUMBO,” Gersh ravages a Jacques Torres chocolate chip cookie.

DAve from Fort Greene says:
Gersh, you and your staff will never go hungry! Just across Flatbush from your new digs at MetroTech is the stretch of restaurants along Dekalb Avenue in Fort Greene (which the NY Times called "Brooklyn's latest culinary mecca"-3/8/09). Start at Caffe e Vino one day... on another fine spring day walk up past Fort Greene Park and work your way through the many places that run through the heart of the neighborhood many with lovely outdoor seating. Plus there's a new pub, a few shops and a place to pick up some wine for later. And if you don't feel like walking off your lunch, you can take the B38 right back to the office. We even made a map for you (well, actually it's the map of the Dekalb Avenue restaurants participating in "Dine in Brooklyn 2009") which you can download and put up on your new office wall, go to www.dekalbavenue.org
See you soon,
DAve
