A two-alarm blaze tore through a Nostrand Avenue building on Tuesday, scorching the upper floors of the mixed-used building.
A whopping 106 smoke eaters rushed to quell the fire that erupted inside the building between Park and Sterling places at 11:11 am, and New York’s Bravest managed to smother the inferno by 12:17 pm.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the mixed-use building that sent smoke billowing into the sky, which alerted neighbors to the flames.
Fortunately the structures lower floors, including the Paws in the City pet emporium located on the ground floor, appeared to escape the inferno relatively unscathed.
No injuries are reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation, fire officials said.
