31st Anniversary Lunch with Lambda

City elected officials and members rubbed elbows with members of the borough’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community during the 31st Anniversary Lunch with Lambda event.

Gathering at Aunt Suzie Italian Restaurant on Fifth Avenue, members of the largest gay and lesbian political group discussed important issues facing the community, like the legalization of same−sex marriage. and honored those who have helped the community over the last year.

The special “Brooklyn Lambda Award” was presented to Tracy Hobson of the Center for Anti−Violence Education, members of GLOBE (Gays and Lesbians Of Bushwick Empowered), and State Senator Velmanette Montgomery.

A special Peter Vogel award was presented to Gerard Cabrera.

The Saturday luncheon was a who’s who of politicians and political movers and shakers found noshing on Italian delicacies and sipping Bloody Marys.
