Pizzeria rocked by burglary

Cops are looking for the culprit behind the burglary of a Dumbo pizzeria on Feb. 15.

The owners of Ignazio’s Pizza on Water Street reported that at around 6:30 a.m, an unknown perp used a rock to break the glass of the pizzeria’s front doors, causing $1,800 in damages.

Once inside, the suspect helped themselves to $483 from the cash register. Cops are reviewing the restaurant’s security cameras to identify the burglar.

Burger King slashing

A 60-year-old man was slashed in the face after getting into an altercation at a Downtown Burger King on Feb. 13.

The victim told cops that he got into an argument with another man at the Fulton Street fast food joint at 4 p.m. that afternoon. The altercation escalated when the unknown suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the 60-year-old man on the left side of his face.

The yet-to-be-identified suspect fled the scene shortly after, while the victim was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment following the incident.
