A new destination for serious beer lovers

Sheepshead Bay is getting drafted again!

Draft Barn, an old-fashioned “beer haus” for new-school brew nerds, is opening its third location on Dooley Street near the waterfront Emmons Avenue.

“It will have as great a beer selection as the first two Draft Barns but an even better liquor selection,” said manager Eugene Sivkov, who also works the barn on Avenue X in Gravesend and on Third Avenue in Gowanus.

The massive bar and restaurant is set to open in three weeks in the basement of the four-level commercial building. There will be 300 beers from all over the world, including 14 drafts on tap. And in true Draft Barn fashion, the Dooley Street outpost will boast an insanely hearty Hungarian-style menu. Expect hand-made sausages, goulash and pig knuckles.

Draft Barn will be the Emmons Avenue area’s second suds spot with an Eastern European flair. Sweik, near E. 21st Street, focuses on German grub and is a summertime attraction thanks to its outdoor patio.
