A thief’s invasion overnight disrupts construction site

68th Precinct

Bay Ridge—Dyker Heights

What a tool

A punk stole at least $350 worth of construction tools from a site on Ridge Boulevard at some point between Oct. 24 and the 25, police said.

The crook committed the theft at the site between 68th Street and Bay Ridge Avenue at some point between 4:30 pm on the 24th, when the man left the site, and 7:30 am the next morning, when he returned to find the tools spread out and at least two — a saw and a drill — missing.

Unholier than thou

A no-goodnik stole more than $1,200 worth of tools and seasonal equipment from an unlocked church shed on 14th Avenue on Oct. 27.

The lout nabbed the items — the most expensive of which included a lawn mower and two snow blowers — between 76th Street and Bay Ridge Parkway at some point between 1 pm and 3:30 pm. Police are reviewing cameras in the area — which recorded the entire theft — according to the report.

Shopping spree

A lowlife charged $240 worth of unauthorized purchases to a Fourth Avenue resident’s debit card sometime between Oct. 7 and Oct. 28, even though she had her card with her the entire time, police said.

The woman, who lives between 85th and 86th streets, didn’t notice until the 28th that the charges began after she opened her account on the 7th.

Disappearing wheels

A criminal stole a man’s 2010 Infiniti G37 from 83rd Street at some point between Oct. 26 and 27, even though the car owner had his keys the whole time, investigators reporeted.

The perp stole the ride from its spot between Fourth and Fifth avenues between 11:15 pm on the 26th and 10 am the following day. Police reviewed surveillance cameras in the area but did not find any clues as to who took the car or when they drove away.
