Another big win — another loss by the Staten Island Yankees.

The Cyclones are now four-and-a-half games ahead of their hated cross-Harbor rivals thanks to a commanding victory on Thursday night.

The Clones got three runs in the fourth inning, thanks to an error and then RBI singles by Richard Lucas and Robbie Shields. All runs were unearned, but they still count!

The Cyclones got another run in the ninth on a bases-loaded walk to Luis Rivera.

That run turned out to be the winner, thanks to a three-run, too-little, too-late ninth by the Spikes. All runs were charged to struggling reliever Matias Carrillo, though Mike Powers actually gave up two RBI singles.

Starter Collin McHugh (7-2, 2.96 ERA) was awesome, striking out seven and giving up four hits while striking out seven.
