Alleged purse snatchers busted

62nd Precinct

Bensonhurst—Bath Beach

Purse snatcher

Cops cuffed two women for allegedly punching another woman and stealing her purse on Dahill Road at Aug. 15.

The victim said that the women asked to borrow her phone near Avenue P at 1 a.m., when, after the woman refused, one of the suspects punched her in the back, while her alleged accomplice snatched her purse, which contained credit and shopping cards.

The suspects booked it with the stolen handbag, but the victim joined police for a search of the area and was able to point out her attackers, authorities claimed.

Rough commute

Police arrested a man for stealing a straphanger’s iPhone aboard a D train at the Bay Parkway subway station on Aug. 18.

The victim said that the man snatched his pircey iPhone X as the train was pulling into the station near 86th Street at 11:45 p.m., when the defendant sprinted out of the train, outrunning the victim as he gave chase, police say.

Trigger happy

Two bruisers shot one man in the leg and threatened to stab another on W. 10th Street on Aug. 14.

The victims told police that the ruffians approached them between Avenues O and P at 11:46 p.m., demanding their valuables at gunpoint. The victims resisted, and the ruffians shot one man in the leg, and the other goon brandished a knife, prompting the other victim to drop his bag and run away. The injured man was treated at Maimonides Hospital, police say.

Lottery looters

A thief snagged $8,000 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets from a store on 15th Avenue on Aug. 15.

An employee told cops that the sneak entered the store between 84th and 85th streets at 10:10 a.m. and bought a bottle of water before swiping a small fortune worth of lottery scratch-offs on his way out.
