Courier Life is a publication I never saw or heard about until, recently, when I wasted time at the dealership and was reading everything available to pass time.
On page seventeen of the July 3 publication was some disgusting, shameful piece of writing by a Shavana Abruzzo. It was titled “A Britisher’s View.”
This caption unfortunately, does not reflect the views of the British. This Shavana Abruzzo should have titled this piece “Abruzzo’s view” to show that she is isolated in her myopic thoughts and little mind.
Coming hard on Obama’s father and his many kids, concocting lies, and throwing dirt at Obama’s personality reflects how limited your thoughts are, and why your newspaper is very unpopular.
You seem to thrive in lies and chicanery. Brooklyn is not wholly composed of your likes. Okay. Some people out here are not blind, parochial and ignorant as you and your cronies. You went further to depict the black man as savage and mean in his habitat. In your words, “the national spirit of Kenya is etched in fear, fueled by ethnic feuds and soaked in blood of tribal warfare.” This is not only insulting and degrading but despicable on a nation. Should we say that the national spirit of Israel is etched in unending fear, fueled by consistent violent clashes between the Jews and its neighbors, and we go further to depict the worthless life of violence, savagery and rancor that exist between Israel and it’s neighbors?
Kenya had its share of problems, as most African countries do, especially during, and after, an election. They have long moved away from that. Israel has had brute, violence, savagery and despair in its course, since its existence, yet we don’t talk about their national spirit..
Your relative was left for dead on her doorstep with a Kikuyu axe lodged in her forehead. Hmm.. Good job. What I know is that Kenya today, as always, is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The people are nice, happy and friendly. That’s why it is considered as one of the busiest tourist spots in the world. We have a huge number of tourists visiting yearly, while we have many Americans and Europeans adopt this part of the world as their home. Your claim to have lived in Kenya requires verification. It seems false and made up just as the contents of your so-called view. If you truly lived in Kenya, you deserve some investigation.
The African continent is a vast expanse of land inhabited by beautiful people. The problems inherent in the continent has been caused by a variety of factors. Greed by its leaders, an ignorant population, wars, natural disasters and above all, the colonial influences, are some of these.
It is a known fact that the divide and rule option, introduced by the colonial powers to exploit the African continent and perpetuate their ruler-ship, was a time bomb. We saw what happened between the Hutus and Tutsis. It’s a genocide of unimaginable proportion that was downplayed by the world powers because the victims were Africans. The world forgot that it was the Belgian colonisers that sowed the seeds of discord and rancor between these two main tribes that have lived in peace and harmony before they came.
If you had no good memories of how Kenya was, while you claimed you lived there, why were you there? If you really were there, you might have been there to continue the exploitation of the people from where your fathers left off. You couldn’t have been in Kenya with this mentality and be there for good reasons.
Unto Obama we go, your main problem with Obama is his African root. If he was Jewish or white, would support him, overwhelmingly. The truth is that Obama is the next president of the USA. Accept it now and campaign for him to win or you find somewhere else to live. This is America, where we all can aspire to be whatever we want to be. At least it was written if not practical. America today does not care if you are Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu or whatever. The fact is, it’s our time for a change and we are coming.
Shavana Abruzzo may not be able to vote in the November elections, as Obama would be the only candidate for election because McCain would be residing in a nursing home on his way out then.
