A man jumped to his death from the Brooklyner — the second suicide from the borough’s tallest building in a year — on Saturday afternoon, police said.

An unidentified, 56-year-old tenant of the new rental tower sent a text to his ex-wife declaring that he was going to take his own life at about 3:10 pm, according to cops. She called cops, but they arrived after he had plummeted from the 51-story building on Lawrence Street to the landing of the adjacent high-rise at 2 Metrotech Center, police sources said.

The man, a lawyer, was dead when cops found him, face down, on the terrace.

The man’s name hasn’t been released pending notification of his family. Staffers at the Brooklyner refused to release any details about the incident.

It’s the second suicide at the building, which is near Myrtle Avenue in Downtown. On April 7, 30-year-old Jennifer Paek jumped from the roof and fell onto the same terrace. Paek reportedly suffered from clinical depression and was on medication when she jumped.
