Bad for health

Two home health care aides allegedly came to blows last week during a confrontation in a Midwood client’s home.

Police said that Nicole Byfield, 33, and Yvonne Flemming, 58 — who are part of the same agency but have reportedly been at odds with each other — allegedly clashed when Flemming arrived for her shift caring for an elderly senior at an apartment on Ocean Avenue and Avenue O on August 30.

The suspect reportedly began arguing with Byfield and said that since Flemming had already arrived, she was going to leave early, police alleged.

The two got embroiled in an argument when Byfield allegedly threw her against the wall and hit her in the face with her fist and a cooking pot, according to published reports.

Flemming countered the attack by pulling a knife and slashing Byfield’s head, leaving a small but deep cut, police alleged.

Both women were taken for a local hospital for treatment. After filing charges against each other, both women were arrested and charged with assault last week, officials said.
