Obliging robbers
Three robbers stole a cellphone from a man on Pacific Street after one of them displayed a gun on July 11.
The 20-year-old victim told police that he was near Hoyt Street at 5:20 pm when the fiendish trio approached him from behind.
“Do you have the time?” one of them asked, while another showed off a gun and said, “Give me what you have.”
Before the man turned over his BlackBerry, the thieves let him remove his SIM card — then they took off with his phone and iPod.
Charity case
A thief broke into the storeroom of a Washington Street AIDS charity earlier this month and stole a fancy watch and art portfolio.
An employee told cops that she last saw the high-end items on July 5 at the building near Water Street. When she entered the storage space a week later, the door was busted and the valuables were gone.
Work loot
A handy bandit snatched over $2,000 in tools from a Sidney Place construction site on July 11.
The foreman told police that he last saw his drills, saws and grinders at a home near State Street at 5 pm, when he finished renovation work for the day. When he returned the next morning, the gadgets were missing.
Beyond repair
A bogus repairman tried to enter a Willow Street residence on July 15, but a Texas houseguest scared him off.
The owner told cops that his Southern friend was at his apartment near Pineapple Street at 12:30 pm, when he heard a noise coming from upstairs. The man rushed to an upper window and saw a man standing on the ledge, trying to tilt the glass above an air conditioner.
“I’m an air conditioner inspector and this air conditioner is unsafe,” said the would-be thief, who jumped down and fled.
Nobody’s business
A loitering thief stole a MacBook from a Jay Street advertising firm on July 15.
An employee told cops that she saw a stranger walk around the office near Plymouth Street at 11:30 am. About an hour later, one of the agency’s laptops was gone.
Fitness test
A devious gym rat scored a black suit and dapper duds from a frequently burglarized Duffield Street health club on July 15.
The 32-year-old victim told police that he secured his clothes in a locker at the Planet Fitness near Fulton Street at 1 pm. When he finished his 90-minute workout, his locker was open and his dress clothes, sunglasses and cellphone were gone.
Two-wheel steal
A thief stole a vintage motorcycle on Remsen Street last week.
The 31-year-old victim told cops that he parked near Clinton Street on July 13 at 2 pm. When he returned two days later, his 1976 BMW cycle was gone.
Bike pain
A gun-toting marauder swiped a bike from a man on Fulton Street on July 15.
The 22-year-old victim told police that he returned to a bike rack near Duffield Street at 4:50 am to get his wheels, a bearded thief was cutting his lock.
“What the f—k! That’s my bike!” the man yelled.
The thief replied, “Yo, send that!” before flashing a firearm and taking off on the stolen cycle.
Mobile groan
A mugger on a bike tried to swipe the cellphone from a woman’s hand on Pacific Street on July 12.
The 25-year-old victim told cops that she was near Bond Street at 5:05 pm when a stranger approached her and said, “Your phone is on the ground.”
He then tried to pry it from her hands, but gave up and fled on a BMX bike.
Super-intended
A building caretaker pinched gold and diamond jewelry from a Montague Street apartment last month, the female victim says.
The woman told cops that she gave the building superintendent access to her apartment near Hicks Street to fix her floors on June 6. When she returned on July 10, she noticed she was missing three gold and diamond rings, necklaces and $300.
Phone it in
A thief swiped an iPhone from a woman on Court Street on July 11.
The 18-year-old Staten Island victim told police that she was near Atlantic Avenue at 5:45 pm when a stranger grabbed her cell from her hands.
Debit guard
A pickpocket stole a woman’s wallet on the subway near Court Street on July 11.
The 23-year-old victim told cops that she was on a Brooklyn-bound 2 train at 5:45 pm when she felt a stranger brush up against her. When the train stopped at Borough Hall, the thief ran off — taking her Metrocard, Swedish driver’s license and papers.
Petty grief
A purse-snatcher swiped a woman’s bag on Jay Street on June 30.
The 39-year-old victim told police that she was near Myrtle Avenue at 5 pm when a stranger ran toward her, grabbed her pocketbook and fled.
The thief got away with a $1,000 check, Social Security card and her cable bill.
