Belt buckle attack

Cops arrested two suspects who they say whipped a third man on Brighton Beach Avenue on March 24.

The victim claimed that he was arguing with the two men, ages 29 and 20, near Brighton 11th Street when they shucked their belts and began swinging them, hitting their target in the head and face.

Booze renegade

Police arrested a 41-year-old drunk driver who they claim blew past a stop sign on Cropsey Avenue on March 24.

The officers said they were near Neptune Avenue at 1:11 am when they saw the driver go past the sign without slowing down. When they pulled him over, they realized he was drunk and took him into custody, officials said.

Bag grabber

Cops have arrested a 30-year-old man who they said swiped three handbags from a Brighton Fourth Street store back on June 9.

Workers said the bags were sitting on a table outside the store at 12:15 pm when the suspect grabbed him. When a worker tried to stop the suspect, the thief allegedly fought him off and escaped with the bags — until this week, when cops charged him with robbery in the first degree.
