The McNamara Division champion Cyclones had a late-season laugher over the Tigers, thanks to a 14-hit barrage that included three hits from new shortstop Wilfredo Tovar.

The Cyclones got on the board first with three runs in the fifth. Back-to-back singles by James Schroeder and Tovar led to an RBI single by J.B. Brown. Two more runs came in on an error as the speed of Cory Vaughn forced a rushed throw.

Blake Forsythe hit a SAC fly in the sixth, Tovar had an RBI single in the eighth, and Will Cherry capped the scoring in the ninth with a single

Starting pitcher Jonathan Kountis was stellar, giving up just six hits and an unearned run in five innings, while striking out five.
