A crook brandishing a box cutter robbed his victim on Graham Avenue on June 28, but was arrested by police a few hours later.
The perp approached a man at 11 pm near Meserole Street, wielding the slicing impliment and demanding cash. The victim gave all he had on him, about $6, and the robber fled.
Box cut II
Another crook with a box cutter robbed two people on June 28, taking $50 and two phones near Maujer and Humboldt streets.
The crook approached his victims at 11:05 pm displaying his box cutter and demanding cash. He fled down Humboldt, but was arrested two hours later.
Train phone
Two perps stole a woman’s iPhone on June 28 as she got off the train near Graham Avenue.
The perps approached the woman near Montrose Avenue at 11:45 pm, when one asked, “Can I talk to you?” He grabbed her phone from her hand and both fled.
Tapas thief
A burglar broke into a nightclub on Grand Street on June 28 and stole $5,300 worth of equipment.
The thief broke into the bar near Bedford Avenue after 3 am and took a television, a computer and other valuables before fleeing on Grand Street.
When the owner returned at 9:15 am that morning, he discovered the property was stolen.
Devoe hit
A perp broke into two Devoe Street apartments on June 28 and stole tenants’ watches, jewelry and computers Rolex watch and computer.
The perp entered the building near Judge Street at approximately 4 pm, while the tenants of two apartments were absent.
In one apartment, the thief grabbed a $10,000 watch and three computers valued at $2,500. In the second-floor apartment, the thief took a $4,000 laptop and $1,600 worth of rings and earrings.
When one tenant returned an hour later, she discovered her property was missing.
Chevy crook
A thief stole a sedan parked on S. First Street on June 27.
The crook broke into the car, which had been parked near Kent Avenue at 10 am, sometime before 7 pm, when the owner returned to find her car missing.
Wythe shot
A gunman fired into a crowd near Wythe Place on July 3, striking one victim in the left foot.
The perp shot off multiple rounds at 1:46 pm near Taylor Street. One bullet struck a man in his foot. Three witnesses and the victim identified the shooter and he was arrested.
Sports bottle
A perp struck a woman in the head with a bottle after she left a bar on Marcy Avenue on July 3, claiming that the woman owed her money.
The thug followed the woman when she left the bar near Hope Street at 4 am, and started an argument with her. The fight escalated and the perp struck her in the head with a bottle.
Bakery call
A perp stole his victim’s phone on July 3 while he was ordering bread at a bakery on Montrose Avenue.
The perp grabbed his victim’s phone from his hand as he was standing in the doorway of the building near Bushwick Avenue. The victim chased the perp, but did not catch him.
Stick up
A thief robbed a man on July 1 after pulling a knife on him on Broadway.
The crook approached his victim near Marcy Avenue at 2:05 am, pressed a sharp object against his back, grabbed his left arm and said, “Don’t move and be quiet.”
The perp then took $20 out of the man’s wallet and ran away.
Phone snatch
Two thugs pushed their victim to the ground and stole his phone on July 2 near Graham Avenue.
The perps approached the victim from behind near Boerum Street at 5 pm. One took his phone and the other pushed him down, and stole $560 and his iPod.
Devoe thief
A burglar broke into a Devoe Street building on June 29 and stole $15,000 worth of property.
The burglar entered the apartment near Olive Street after noon, grabbing the tenant’s video game player, computer, camera, and jewelry. When the tenant returned to her apartment the next day at 1 am, she noticed the disaster.
Vet burglary
A thief broke into a Berry Street veterinary clinic on July 1, but was arrested soon after.
The thief entered the Northside Veterinary Clinic near Metropolitan Avenue at 2:52 am, but an alarm went off shortly afterwards.
The thief, who had apparently been in search of chemicals, was apprehended 90 minutes later.
Stalker creep
A creepy perp followed his victim across Williamsburg on July 1, but when she refused to give her number to him, he stole her phone.
The teenage perp followed his victim from Graham Avenue to Lorimer Avenue and Scholes Street at 2:50 pm, when he approached her and asked, “Can I have your phone number to call you so we can hang out?”
When the woman said no, he grabbed her iPhone instead.
