Friday, April 15

Roller Skating at LeFrak Center: The roller skating rink is back at LeFrak Center starting on Friday! This warm-weather staple is the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful spring afternoon. Stroll through the park, enjoy a few laps in the rink, then grab a snack at the Bluestone Cafe, all while enjoying the view of Prospect Park’s shimmering lake. Bike and boat rentals are also available! Bring your own skates or rent a pair when you arrive. 

Opens April 15. Weekdays 10:30 am-6 pm, weekends noon-6 pm. $14.26+.

Passover Seder at Chabad of Dumbo: Join Chabad of Dumbo for a community seder on the first night of Passover. Led by Rabbi Avrom, this Chabad aims to create a warm and welcoming environment for all Jewish people to learn about and celebrate their religion and heritage, and this seder is no different.

April 15. 8 pm. Suggested donation $36. 205 Plymouth St. 1st Floor between Bridge and Jay streets in DUMBO. 

Saturday, April 16

The Tactiles exhibition opening: Check out the unique, handmade work of four local artists at this exhibition opening at the Court Tree Collective. Jung Eun Park, John Whitlock, Jennifer Prevatt and Christina Masse all used recycled materials and their particular artistic expertise to create a variety of 2-and-3D artworks of all kinds. 

April 16. 3-5 pm. Free. Court Tree Collective at Industry City, 51 35th St. between Second and Third avenues in Sunset Park.

Jackie Robinson’s Legacy Tour: This weekend marks 75 years since Jackie Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he stepped up to the plate at Ebbetts Field as a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers. NYC Park Rangers will guide you through history and Robinson’s legacy in Brooklyn and beyond as you walk from Prospect Park to the site of the original Ebbetts Field. 

April 16. 11 am. Free. Meet at Prospect Park’s Audobon Center, 101 East Drive in Prospect Park, near the Lincoln Road/Ocean Avenue entrance.

Sunday, April 17

CityPoint Easter Eggstravaganza: Snap a family photo with the Easter bunny and relax while the kids play with some blocks in this festive event sponsored by Brooklyn Bridge Parents. 

April 17. 11 am. Free. City Point BKLYN, 445 Albee Square West near Flatbush Avenue Ext. in Downtown Brooklyn.

Sakura Tea Ceremony: Experience a Japanese tea ceremony with tea master Yoshitsugu Nagano at Industry City’s Japan Village. Enjoy the 45-minute ceremony complete with a cup of ceremonial-grade tea and sweets in this peaceful, educational event.

April 17. 1pm, with additional times available. $50. The Loft at Japan Village, 934 Third Ave. between 35th and 36th streets in Sunset Park.
