Friday, March 4:

TGIF Comedy Show: Bring in the weekend laughing with EastVille Comedy’s weekly TGIF comedy show, this week featuring special guests Corinne Fisher, Graham Kay, Hari Kondabolu, Patrick Schroeder and Brian Jian.

$24-$65, 8 pm, EastVille Comedy Club, 487 Atlantic Ave. between Nevins Street and Third Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. 

Red Baraat Festival of Colors: Lively punk Bhangra band Red Baraat are joined by singer, composed and violinist join forces for a multi-genre rollicking good time as the musicians celebrate the colorful Hindu holiday Holi.

$17-20. Doors open at 6 pm, show begins at 8. 21+. Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Ave. between N. 11th and N. 12th streets in Williamsburg.

Saturday, March 5:

Bklyn Indoor Block Party: Brooklyn Bridge Parents hosts their annual indoor block party — bring your kids to get the wiggles out while staying toasty warm inside. The little ones will trade Pokémon cards, jump in a bounce house, build LEGO sets, do arts and crafts, and more.

Free. 11 am-3 pm. City Point Shopping Center, 445 Albee Square West between Willoughby and Fulton Streets in Downtown Brooklyn.

I Get Wild performs The Talking Heads: Talking Heads cover band I Get Wild returns to Littlefield for a night of moving and grooving to your favorite tunes. The talented seven-piece band has it all, with multiple vocalists, guitar, drums, keys, bass, and even…drawing?

$15. Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8. Littlefield NYC, 635 Sackett St. between Third and Fourth avenues in Gowanus.

Sunday, March 6:

Illuminating Lewis Latimer’s Brooklyn History: Artists and historians including Shervone Neckles, Prathibha Kanakamedala and Ran Yan explore the life, work, and activism of inventor Lewis Latimer. 

Free, 2-4 pm. Virtual, via Zoom. Register online to receive the link to attend.

March Coffee Bark: Dog owners are invited to join FIDO in Prospect Park’s monthly Sunday-morning gathering. Sip some coffee and nibble on a pastry while your dog enjoys some yummy biscuits, plus get some relevant information about upcoming off-leash activities and issues.
