Brutal boyfriend

Cops have arrested a 27-year-old man allegedly responsible for sneaking into his ex-love’s apartment, nearly stabbing the young woman to death and then running off with her car, police said.

Prosecutors said that Bernard Rapoport is facing attempted murder, assault, burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property charges for the alleged evil antics he committed during the early-morning hours of October 3.

His ex-girlfriend told police that she was sleeping in her apartment on Cropsey Avenue near 25th Avenue at 2:30 a.m. when Rapoport allegedly climbed through her window.

Police alleged that the ruthless Romeo began slapping his ex-girlfriend around, and then plunged a knife into her abdomen, lacerating her liver.

He then swiped the keys to her 1998 Nissan Pathfinder from the bedside table and fled, police alleged.

Police said that the vehicle was found several hours later on West 8th Street near Neptune Avenue %u2013 right in front of the 27-year-old’s home.
