Cops cuffed a man for allegedly punching a taxi driver on Mermaid Avenue on Aug. 1.
The victim told police the suspect tried to exit the cab without paying his fare near W. 17th Street at 7:45 p.m., when the guy punched him in the head, before fleeing, cops said.
Wheel crook
A thief nabbed $1,000 worth of wheels off a car parked on Ocean Parkway on July 30.
The victim told police he parked his car near E. Second Street and at 9 a.m., only to return a few hours later to find his car on bricks.
Bad luck
A thief nabbed the wallet off a man at a Cropsey Avenue bodega on July 31
The victim told police he set his wallet on the counter of the deli near Bay 46th and Bay 47th streets to buy lotto tickets at 4:30 p.m.
When he turned to grab his cash, he discovered his wallet had vanished, cops said.
Jaw breaker
A thief beat and robbed a man on Ocean Parkway on July 27.
The victim told police the crook caught him with a sucker punch near Neptune Avenue at 1:45 p.m., knocking a tooth loose and fracturing his jaw.
The bruiser nabbed the victim’s wallet, and other valuables worth $350 cops said.
