Thieves stole a Brooklyn Heights vendor’s cart from his Joralemon Street corner on May 10.
The street merchant left his cart between Hicks Street and Garden Place while he went to get his van at 11:30 am. Minutes later, the cart was gone.
No fooling
A hoodlum robbed a Fulton Street video game store after assaulting one of its employees on May 7.
After the store, nearAlbee Square, closed, a worker took the trash outside for pickup at 7:40 pm. When he reentered the shop, a mystery man choked him from behind and forced his way into the business, too.
The victim told police that the culprit pressed a sharp object against his back, causing him to tell his co-worker behind the cash register to give the money to the robber. The employees told police the crook took $12,418.
Max out
A man’s wallet was stolen from a fitness club on Boerum Place on April 30, but the imposters couldn’t make much use of the credit cards because it had already hit its limit.
The victim lost his wallet, which contained credit and debit cards and a $200 apparel store gift card, during 7:30 am a workout at the gym between Pacific and Dean streets.
Later that day, the thief tried to make a $1,500 purchase at Home Depot on Hamilton Avenue, but was denied, because the stolen credit was already maxed out.
On purse-pose
A customer stole a purse from a beautician at Livingston Street salon after getting her hair done on May 8.
The greedy customer pinched a pocketbook containing $1,950 from the hair and nail spa between Hanover Place and Bond Street at 2:38 pm.
Hide and sneak
A man in the midst of robbing a car on Sands Street was spooked by a witness and later arrested in the High Street subway station, where he had fled on May 8.
The alleged robber, a 47-year-old man, was rifling through a car parked near Adams and Pearl streets at 3 pm. When the witness approached, the rrobber warned, “Don’t get close to me. I will cut you. I have a knife.”
Despite his weapons, he fled to the A/C train station, where police say they caught him in possession of an EZ Pass, screwdriver, flashlight, cellphone and black bag taken from the car.
Jean meanie
A shoplifter stole a well-coordinated ensemble from an Atlantic Avenue boutique on May 4.
Sometime between 4 and 4:30 pm, a hooligan nabbed a halfway complete outfit of designer jeans, sandals, jewelry and belt from a display in the shop between Hoyt and Bond streets.
Wallet gone
A woman’s wallet was stolen while she shopped in a Montague Street store on May 8.
The crook pilfered the wallet that had been put on the checkout counter at 5:30 pm in the shop between Hicks and Henry streets. It contained $140.
On the chin
A man was brutally beaten and robbed by three rogues at 8 pm on May 4 after exiting the Jay Street subway station.
The victim told police that one of the thugs asked him, “Yo, what’s cracking?” Evidently, the answer was his jaw. One of the other muggers hit him in the back of the head with a blunt object, knocking him unconscious near the corner of Willoughby Avenue and causing him to fall face first, breaking his mandible.
When the 25-year-old man was revived, he discovered his earrings had been stolen.
