Re: “Not for Nuthin” column by Joanna P. DelBuono.
Recently, the topic of cell phones has been the subject of your column. The first one had to do with your daughter misplacing and then recovering the magic item, and the second one about cell phones in movie theatres.
My letter is a solution to the movie theatre problem. Although there is a sponsored announcement to shut off your cell phones and pagers before the featured presentation starts, insensitive individuals choose to constantly ignore the message.
For those people the remedy is to take the cell phone from them and eject them from the theatre without a refund and without their phone. The only method to cure public ills is to hit them in the wallet.
The cost of some cell phones are in the hundreds of dollars. If people realize that they are jeopardizing this cost by being rude then maybe there will be a little less of these nuisances.
