City Parks Foundation welcomes all New Yorkers, ages 60 and over, to sign up for the Spring 2009 Session of CityParks Seniors Fitness, a free program offering tennis lessons, yoga instruction, and fitness walking in nine parks across New York City.
CityParks Seniors Fitness will be offered at Marine and Red Hook parks in Brooklyn through June 26.
Joining CityParks Seniors Fitness is beneficial to seniors and the broader community in many ways. As spring approaches there is no better place to be than outdoors, enjoying NYC’s parks, bringing life to Brooklyn’s green spaces, and socializing with friends and neighbors while getting fit.
Most activities take place twice a week at each location. To maximize health benefits, participants are encouraged to register for two or more weekly activities (if available) and maintain regular attendance.
