Holy Cross’s Sylven Landesberg and Murry Bergtraum’s Krystal Parnell were honored as high school basketball players of the year by Community Newspaper Group, which publishes this paper. Paul Gilvary of Holy Cross and Ed Grezinsky of Bergtraum were also honored as high school basketball coaches of the year.
Tom Tuffey, vice president of government and public affairs for Forest City Ratner Companies, and former Nets star Albert King presented the honors to the students and coaches at CNG’s 2007-2008 All-City basketball awards ceremony last week in midtown. FCRC and the Nets sponsored the awards.
