Community News Group held its holiday party at Buckley’s on Avenue S and Nostrand Avenue in Sheepshead Bay on Dec. 8.

The event was a boisterous bash complete with an open bar, a delectable dinner, and some daring dance moves, but the best part of the night was the bonding between the Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens employees, according to an account executive.

“It was the camaraderie between all three offices — that was my favorite part,” said Shanika Stewart, account executive for Brooklyn Family. “Outside of work — always a pleasure. You get to know the real them outside of their work representation.”

Employees dined on appetizers including crab cakes and shrimp before the main course of salad, tilapia, chicken Parmesan, and green beans. Between bites, staffers boogied down on the dance floor to choice selections from the likes of Li’l Jon and LMFAO.

The party was a much-needed stress reliever, according to one employee, who especially liked the hors d’oeuvres.

“It was good to blow off some steam with my co-workers,” said John Napoli, a graphic artist who works in the production department. “I had a blast, the pigs in the blanket were awesome, and they had two types of mustard.”

That last part is a lie. There was only one kind of mustard.

The night ended on a sweet note with cake and chocolate chip cookies for dessert, but one staffer said the party was the true treat.

“What a rollicking revel it was,” said staff writer Shavana Abruzzo.
