Area residents received the lowdown on how to maintain a lifestyle of well being – plus enjoyed a revel or two – during a community health and street fair in Coney Island, presented by the United Community Baptist Church.
The sidewalk by the church, 2701 Mermaid Avenue, was transformed into an outdoor data base as health care and medical workers conducted screenings and provided information to health-smart visitors.
While mom and dad perused the healthful offerings, youngsters were kept amused and entertained by strolling entertainers.
In addition, representatives of local government and healthcare organizations acquainted visitors with available services in their community.
