Cops arrest suspect in three rapes

Cops have arrested a sexual predator who prowled a busy Flatbush Avenue intersection.

Investigators closed the book on a series of rapes near the corner of Flatbush and Bedford avenues on Jan. 7 with the arrest of 21-year-old Jonathan Williams.

The Ocean Avenue resident was accused of sexually assaulting and robbing three women between April 13 and Dec. 10.

Police allege that Williams would follow his victims to their apartments. Once the woman opened her door, he would grab her, force her inside and attack before her running off with her belongings.

Williams was charged with rape, burglary, robbery and sexual assault. His arraignment was pending by late Friday. Attempts to reach his attorney were unsuccessful.

Investigators did not disclose just what led them to arrest Williams, except to say that he was linked to the second attack, when a 32-year-old woman was choked, raped and robbed of her cellphone, passport and cash at 2 am on May 3.
