Police are hunting the two gunmen who nabbed $8,400 and a duffle bag containing cigarettes from an elderly man’s apartment within Canarsie’s Bay View housing projects on Aug. 2.
The pistol-packing perps knocked on the 82-year-old victim’s door within the public housing complex near Rockaway Parkway and then barged their way as he opened the door at 3 p.m., according to police.
The crooks then stuck a gun in the man’s face and demanded cash, before making off with the money and a duffle bag full of smokes, cops said.
One of the bandits wore a white hat, glasses, a grey hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants, with white sneakers. The other individual was last seen wearing all dark clothing. Both men are suspected to be in their 50s.
