Vengeful employee
Cops nabbed a spurned employee who they say returned to his old job at a Livingston Street gym and swiped equipment on April 20, according to a report.
The man lost his job at the gym between Court Street and Boerum Place that day, and allegedly returned sometime that night to load up on equipment, police said.
Cameras at the location picked up the meathead as he allegedly cleaned out his former bosses, and police arrested him on April 29, according to a report.
Gone on two wheels
A highway robber snagged a motorcycle parked on Staten Street sometime between April 24 and April 25, cops said.
The victim parked his black 2009 Kawasaki bike between Hoyt and Smith streets at 3 pm, and when he returned at 9 am the next day, the bike had vanished, according to a report.
Keep on truckin’
A thief broke into a truck while it was parked on Gold Street on April 27 and swiped the driver’s tools, cops said.
The victim left the vehicle at Willoughby Street at 7 am and then headed home without noticing anything was amiss, according to a report. When the driver got home at 2 pm he checked the back of the truck and realized someone had swiped a nail gun worth $600, a cordless drill worth $500, and a variety of drill bits valued at $350, police said.
Is no place safe?
Some wannabe Houdini broke the lock on a gym-goer’s locker at a Remsen Street gym on April 28 and snatched thousands of dollars in loot, according to a report.
The victim only exercised at the gym between Court and Clinton streets from 4:30 to 5 pm, but in that time the thief managed to clip his lock and steal two cellphones, a pair of pants, a belt, a wedding ring, and an iPod, all told making off with an estimated $2,265 of the poor guy’s stuff, cops said.
Need for speed
A car thief drove off with a van parked on Gold Street sometime overnight on April 29, cops said.
The owner left his 1997 Dodge Caravan near Nassau Street a 5 pm, but when he returned at 9 am the next day, some galoot had sped off in the ride, according to a report.
See no evil
An unknown brute attacked a man on Bergen Street early in the morning of May 1, according to a report.
The victim was near Boerum Place at 4 am when an unseen assailaint clocked him in the back of the head with an unknown object, leaving a small laceration on the man’s scalp, cops said.
