Don’t scream
Police arrested two teens, ages 17 and 18, who they say frisked a man at gunpoint and threatened to kill him on Huron Street on Oct. 18.
The victim told police that he was between Franklin Street and Manhattan Avenue at 12:15 am when the two came up from behind him and one pointed a black handgun at him.
“Don’t scream, don’t yell, just remain quiet,” he said. They then went through the victim’s pockets, taking his phone, wallet, and keys, police reported. After searching the wallet, they allegedly gave it back, along with the keys, and ran off.
Pet store robbery
An gun-toting fraidy cat stormed a Norman Avenue pet food store, demanding cash, on Oct. 20.
The clerk of the shop between Jewel and Diamond streets told police the brazen thief walked up to the register at 7:30 pm and demanded, “Give me the money out the register.”
When the clerk refused, the thief pulled a gun. But the clerk told police that when he walked away from the register, the thief ran away.
Attack
Three young women attacked and beat up a woman on Skillman Avenue on Oct. 21, taking off with her purse.
The woman told police she was between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street at 7:20 pm when three women ran up to her and pushed her to the ground while laughing. They all punched her several times while she was on the ground, and then snatched her purse, which contained her credit cards, wallet and jewelry, and ran off, police reported.
Delivery interrupted
A trio of bullies bashed a delivery guy over the head with a piece of wood on Manhattan Avenue on Oct. 22.
The man told police he was at Meeker Avenue on his way to make a food delivery at 1 am when the three toughs yanked him off his bike. One of the bullies asked him for his wallet, while another hit him over the head with a piece of wood.
They ran away without getting his wallet and the delivery man was taken to Woodhull Hospital with a head injury.
High school robbery
A 16-year-old was arrested for robbing a younger teen of his watches in a N. Sixth Street high school on Oct. 23.
The 14-year-old victim told police he was changing in the gym locker room at the school between Havemeyer and Roebling street at 11:20 am when an older boy whispered to him, “Give me your money or I’m going to beat you up.”
He then grabbed the watch off of the younger boy’s wrist, began searching the kid’s pockets, and stole another watch, police reported.
Teenaged marauder
Police say a 15-year-old boy assaulted two officers who were trying to take him to a secure facility on Meeker Avenue on Oct. 18.
Officials say the boy was in a police car at Humboldt Street at 7 pm as police drove him from another precinct to school when he suddenly started began biting and kicking the officers.
One of the officers suffered bite marks to his hand and the other complained of chest pains.
