The violent thug who tried to rape a young woman just feet from the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Fort Greene last week is a white man with chubby cheeks, sunken eyes and light hair, cops say.
Police released a sketch this week of the alleged attacker, who is approximately 6-foot tall and between ages 30 and 35. The NYPD now wants neighbors’ help in hunting the bad guy, who may be responsible for two attempted rapes in one week.
In the first incident, on Jan. 19, a 25-year-old woman was nearing the corner of St. Felix Street and Hanson Place at 1:30 am, when the suspect grabbed her from behind and tried to rip off her clothes.
She screamed, and the thug scampered away, leaving the woman physically unharmed. Cops say the man was wearing a dark pea coat with a light-colored, button-down shirt.
Exactly one week later, at around 1:15 am near the corner of Fulton and Cumberland streets, a man threw a woman against the fence and told her, “Don’t fight it.”
After a nearby witness yelled for help, the man ran away.
