Caught — at Ikea!

The victim of a botched mugging helped cops catch the assailant weeks after the attack — and at Ikea, no less, officers say.

The story begins on July 19, when a perp punched a woman in the back of the head at 5:30 pm at the corner of Nelson and Hicks streets in a failed attempt to steal her cellphone.

The case went cold over the next two months until the victim told police she spotted the perp while she was shopping at the Swedish furniture store on Beard Street on Sept. 17.

Cops arrested a 26-year-old suspect who faces robbery charges.

The victim sought treatment at Long Island College Hospital.

Wire cutter

Botched mugging

Two women tried to steal a victim’s purse on Oct. 5, but they didn’t manage to get away with anything, police say.

The crooks trailed the victim for several blocks on Warren Street until they were between Henry and Clinton streets — then they pounced.

The assailants struck the 27-year-old victim in the head with a blunt at around 9 pm, but the victim managed to hold onto her bag.

Police are trying to track down two women in their early 20s.

Held on Bond

Cops cuffed a 26-year-old accused of punching another man in the neck during an Oct. 1 altercation inside a Bond Street garage.

The perp allegedly started an argument with the 35-year-old victim between Sackett and Union streets at 8 am before throwing the blow.

Vicious cycle

A crook stole a man’s BMW motorcycle from its spot on Smith Street.

The bike bandit struck at some point between 6 pm on Oct. 5 and 3 pm on Oct. 7, making off with the red 1988 two-wheeler.

Wheels delivered

A thief stole the tires and rims from a Honda — but the unlucky driver knew exactly where to find them, police say.

A crook snatched four Dunlop tires from a car parked on Amity Street between Henry and Clinton streets overnight on Sept. 5.

The victim discovered his car was wheel-less the following day, and lead police Third Avenue between 42nd and 43rd streets in Sunset Park, where cops recovered the items and arrested a 21-year-old suspect on grand larceny and possession of stolen property charges.
