A man robbed an 84-year-old woman’s First Street apartment on March 10, taking credit cards and her Access-A-Ride ID card.
The victim told police that she was inside her home between Hoyt and Bond streets at 6:45 am when she heard the downstairs buzzer go off. She went to check the door and, finding nobody there, went back to bed.
She awoke 10 minutes later to find a strange man standing next to her bed, who quickly fled the apartment after being spotted. Police said there was no sign of forced entry.
The woman found out her stolen card had been used to purchase a $50 MetroCard shortly after.
Good aim
A thug threw a bottle of Patrón at a woman outside of a Smith Street watering hole on March 4.
The victim told police she was in front of the bar between Pacific Street and Atlantic Avenue at 3:30 am when the other woman threw a bottle of Patrón, which hit her below her right eye. The victim was taken to Long Island College Hospital, where she received eight stiches.
Dangerous duo
Two knife-wielding thugs robbed an 18-year-old on President Street on March 12, taking his $200 iPhone and $300 Dr. Dre Beats headphones.
The victim told police that he was between Smith and Hoyt streets at 8:55 pm when the two thieves approached and asked for his property. When the victim refused, one the goons drew a knife.
“Just give him the stuff, he’s crazy,” the other crook pleaded, and the victim handed over his pricey electronics.
