Massive mistake

A rogue drove off with a guy’s car after he left it parked with the keys still in the ignition on Clinton Street on March 11, police said.

The 41-year-old motorist left his green 2007 Lincoln town car still running near Hamilton Avenue at about 8:30 pm when a punk jumped in it and drove off, according to authorities. The guy had also left his Samsung Galaxy phone and $500 inside, police said. The vehicle was later recovered on Bush Street between Columbia and Otsego streets, according to authorities.

Philanthropically punked

A generous guy thinks a charlatan scammed him out of hundreds of dollars on Henry Street on March 8, police said.

The 53-year-old victim gave the supposedly down-on-his-luck man $760 near Sackett Street at about 4 pm after he said his homeless family needed it for a hotel and gas, according to authorities.

But the do-gooder thinks the weasel played him, as he drove off in a dark-colored sports utility vehicle, officials said.

Bad boss

An employer hit his worker inside a business on Columbia Street on March 10, police said.

The 37-year-old employee told police his boss hit him on the left side of his head, causing pain and minor cuts, during work near Gowanus Bay at 7:38 am.

Those are not toys!

Cops cuffed a guy for allegedly having a gun and pot in his Clinton Street apartment on March 3.

Police had a search warrant for the 35-year-old’s house near Hamilton Avenue, and entered at 6:20 am to find the 32-caliber revolver and large quantity of marijuana were accessible to his two children, according to authorities. Cops are searching for a second person, police said.

Caught

Police arrested a 39-year-old man who had an active warrant after they pulled him over in his car on Columbia Street on March 11.

Officers pulled the suspect over between W. Ninth and Huntington streets at about 5 pm for his excessively tinted windows, and then allegedly saw a switchblade in plain view, according to authorities.

Energizer thief

Officers nabbed a guy who they say stole packs of batteries from a Smith Street store on March 7.

The suspect allegedly put four packs of Duracell batteries in his backpack and left the store between Warren and Baltic streets at about 4:15 pm, according to authorities.

Drug bust

Police cuffed a 29-year-old woman after they say she was carrying heroin and a crack pipe on Baltic Street on March 7.

Authorities arrested the woman for allegedly swiping three dollars from a guy between Bond and Nevins streets at 2:20 pm when they found bottles of heroin marked “do or die” and a crack pipe with residue on it, according to authorities.
