Gone in a second
A punk swiped a woman’s wallet she had left at the checkout of a grocery store on Court Street on Sept. 18, police said.
The woman left her brown and green wallet with her Social Security card, four credit cards, a Shop Right points card, and Pathmark smart card inside it in the store between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street at 1:30 pm, and when she went back in, it was gone, according to authorities.
The crook made no charges and the woman cancelled all of her cards, police said.
Bad luck
A crook swiped a guy’s electronics from his home on Columbia Street while he was in jail from April 27 through Aug. 26, police said.
The victim told police the jerk stole his Microsoft Surface laptop and his Sony Playstation from his home between Baltic and Kane streets.
Faux-dermatologist
Cops cuffed a 16-year-old for swiping two products from a store on Court Street on Sept. 19.
The teen took one face cream and one tube of Clearasil from the store between First and Second places at 4:10 pm, police said.
Bad deal
A nogoodnik ran off with a guy’s cash after he had planned to buy a phone from him on Hicks Street on Sept. 18, police said.
The victim told police he had planned to meet up with the punk near W. Ninth Street after agreeing online that he would buy the used phone for $300. But when the victim handed over the cash, the jerk just ran off with it without keeping his end of the bargain, according to authorities.
Violent movie
Cops arrested a 52-year-old guy for head-butting a man in the face while at a Court Street movie theater on Sept. 13
The two got into a verbal argument at the theater between Douglass and Baltic streets at 8:50 pm, when the suspect head-butted the guy, cutting his nose and breaking his middle tooth, according to authorities.
