Cyclists dies in garbage truck collision

Cops cordoned off the corner of Schermerhorn and Nevins Streets early Saturday morning following a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a garbage truck. Officials said that the motorcyclist, who was not named, died at the scene after the August 8 impact. The garbage truck is owned by Viking Sanitation, a private carting company.Photo by Mark Kafner
