The United Progressive Democratic Club of the 47th Assembly District, serving the community for more than 80 years, will hold its 42nd Annual Dinner Dance, May 1 at the Rex Manor, 1100 60th Street, to honor eight “outstanding citizens.”
Assemblyman William Colton, 47th AD District Leaders Charles Ragusa and Jeanette Givant will join UPDC Club President Mark Treyger in recognizing the honorees: Hon. Bernard Catcher, Democratic District Leader, 59th AD; Michael Chung, executive board member, United Chinese Association of Brooklyn; Beth Grater, principal, PS 205; Irina Matiychenko, Esq., NY Legal Assistance Group; Ida Sanoff, environmentalist chair, Natural Resources Protective Association; Carl Santa Maria, principal, PS 153; Angelo Siciliano, founder, Associazione Siciliani Uniti Di New York; and Christopher Shelton, vice president, Communication Workers of America, District 1.
