A 24-year-old woman is dead after she was struck by the driver of a vehicle in East New York on Thursday night.

According to authorities, officers responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck near 1210 Loring Ave. at around 7:31 p.m. on Jan. 11. Upon arrival, officers observed that the young woman had severe trauma to the head and body.

EMS rushed the victim — whose identity was withheld by police Friday morning pending proper family notification — to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police did not release any further details surrounding the incident — which occurred in Brooklyn’s 75th Precinct — such as the vehicle’s make and model, or whether or not the driver remained on the scene, but the Daily News reported Friday that the woman was mowed down by a loved one following a domestic dispute.
