This food fest is fresher than ever!

The Kings County–focused food and beverage trade show Brooklyn Eats will return on June 28 at a new location with new vendors — and plenty of new opportunities for curious foodies. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce will host its annual food exhibition at Bklyn Studios at City Point Downtown, and visitors will finally be able to buy full dishes, rather than just snack on samples, said a spokeswoman for the chamber

“This year we’re excited it’s going to be at Bklyn Studios, and also for the first time our exhibitors will be able to sell their product, so you won’t just have to sample,” she said.

Of the 57 vendors registered for the show, nearly half are new to the food fest. One of the popular returning retailers is a Bushwick company that sells a combination of crackers and cookies, dubbed “crack cookies.” The owner of Legally Addictive says that this will be her third time at the show, and that she is thrilled to share the latest version of the long-lasting family treat.”

“We’re the only ones in the country that make a shelf-stable version of cracker cookies without preservatives, and that is one way in which we are unique,” said Laura Shafferman.

She plans to demonstrate some of Legally Addictive’s new products, including a rainbow sprinkle and confetti treat, a peppermint crunch holiday version, and a new flavor that will be revealed at the show.

Shafferman says she eager to debut her new products for newcomers and regulars, and to introduce the soft-and-crunchy crack cookie phenomenon to more Brooklynites.

“This texture is not something people have had before,” she said. “We really love this show and last year was great for us, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
