Escalade burglar caught red-handed: Cops

Cops say they caught a crook breaking into a Cadillac Escalade on 80th Street on Dec. 29.

Police reported seeing the suspect force his way into the vehicle between Narrows Avenue and Colonial Road at 1:45 pm. The boys in blue said they swooped in and arrested the man in custody, and found the vehicle’s keys on his person, along with three pairs of Chanel sunglasses, a watch, and $20 in cash belonging to the Escalade’s owner.

Bungle-ary

Police nabbed a man they allege was breaking into a Ridge Boulevard home on Christmas Eve.

Cops said the call came in at 12:50 pm of a burglary in progress between 78th and 79th streets. They sped to the scene and reported catching the accused in the kitchen holding the homeowner’s watch chain, credit cards, and prescription drugs.

Three of a kind

A gunman mugged three people at the corner of 88th Street and Seventh Avenue between Dec. 24 and Dec. 28, police stated.

The villain first struck at 7 pm on Christmas Eve, when he went up to the first victim and put the barrel of the pistol to his chest, cops said.

“Give me your money,” the fiend supposedly said.

The victim surrendered $60, and the robber scrammed on foot, police reported.

The crook next hit a deliveryman at 5 pm on Dec. 26. He flashed the firearm at the meal-runner, who promptly turned over $200 and his iPhone 4, according to cops. The food courier said that this time the crook took off in a gray four-door sedan.

Another deliveryman got held up on Dec. 28 at 8:30 pm. This time the bandit went up to the victim, put the gun to his neck, and guided him into a nearby alley, cops said.

“Give me what you have and go down on the floor,” the mugger purportedly ordered.

The victim complied, giving up $500 in cash, plus a Galaxy phone and the punk then fled with his loot, according to a police report.

Mr. Clean

A lowlife swiped thousands in cash from a Third Avenue money machine on Dec. 27 — then doused the dollar dispenser in chlorine, cops reported.

Security cameras caught the villain breaking open the automatic teller between 79th and 80th streets at 3 am and taking $8,000 from inside — before pouring bleach all over the machine, cops said. — Will Bredderman
