Fake plumber rips off construction site

68th Precinct

Bay Ridge—Dyker Heights

Plumb bad luck

A perp posing as a plumber ripped off several lengths of copper pipe, a shower head, and two fishing rods from a 78th Street construction site on July 1, according to cops.

A witness said he saw and confronted the metal fiend as the crook entered the building near the corner of Shore Road at 9:20 am. The villain told the bystander that he was on the job installing the water system. But when the construction company owner stopped by at 6:50 pm, he discovered his tubing, tackle, and faucet missing.

Naked

A burglar swiped hundreds of dollars in clothes from a Ridge Boulevard apartment on July 27, police report.

The victim said she left her pad between 70th and 71st streets at 1 pm and returned four hours later to find her door and rear window ajar — and 20 of her shirts, two pairs of her pants, one set of shoes, five of her watches, and $60 in cash stolen.

Golden opportunity

A lowlife lifted a senior’s purse from a bus selling MetroCards outside a Brooklyn politician’s Fifth Avenue office on July 1, authorities allege.

The 82-year-old victim said she set her bag down on the ledge of the vending vehicle in front of the pol’s headquarters between 74th and 75th streets at 1 pm. When she returned an hour later, the pocketbook was gone.

Prep perp

A burglar stole thousands in designer accessories from a car parked near a Dyker Heights preparatory school on July 7, cops say.

The victim told police she left her vehicle between Battery and Seventh avenues at 3:20 pm to attend a baseball game. When she returned to the car after the ninth inning, she found her passenger-side window smashed and her pricey Malberry purse, Marc Jacobs handbag, Bobby Brown make-up, Michael Kors wallet, Louis Vuitton wallet, iPhone, iPad, and $100 in cash missing.
