A prowler broke into five Greenpoint homes in one afternoon this week, police said.

The burglar busted into four apartments in the same building at Eckford Street and Driggs Avenue on Monday afternoon, cops and a victim reported. He got in by climbing to the roof and slipping into each apartment through fire escape windows. He stole cash, jewelry, and electronic devices from each pad, according to the authorities. The scoundrel also rifled through file cabinets and looked through financial records in all of the apartments, according to one victim.

The lowlife then climbed onto the roof of a building near Nassau Avenue and Eckford Street and tried to climb into an apartment window, but found a resident at home and fled, officers said. Soon thereafter, he broke into another apartment in the building and ran down the stairs and out the door without taking anything, per police.

Police released a photo of the suspect who they describe as 30–40 years old and standing 5-feet-7, with tattoos on his left arm.

Police ask those with information about the incidents to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477, go to www.nypdc‌rimes‌toppe‌rs.com, or text-message tips to 274637 and enter “TIP577.”
