First Annual Spirit Day at SJC

As a way of saying thanks to the community, St. Joseph’s College will hold its First Annual Spirit Day, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Joseph’s College, 245 Clinton Avenue.

Sponsored by the Admissions Office, in collaboration with the Offices of Student Life, Human Resources, Campus Ministry, Alumni and the Dillon Center, this event is free and open to the public.

The theme for the day is “St. Joseph’s College Gives Back,” and the main purpose of the day is to bring both the college community and the surrounding neighborhoods together for a special experience that reflects their appreciation for our neighbors.

At Spirit Day, visitors will have a wide range of activities to choose from, including but not limited to a wine tasting for the adults, Bungee Challenge and a Guitar Hero competition for teenagers, and face painting and balloon animals for the kids.

Along with these activities, there will be a wide range of carnival games and raffles. All of the proceeds raised will benefit Park Slope Christian Help Inc. (CHIPS) and Operation Homefront, a non-profit that assists military families in need. In addition, any non-perishable foodstuffs or donations for these charities would be greatly appreciated.
