We love a beer festival as much as anyone, but it is getting too cold to spend time outside. Fortunately, the Fall Crawl at the Hall happens entirely inside, at the underground DeKalb Market Hall, so you can stay toasty warm as you get toasted, sampling brews from seven local breweries and one cidery.

Short stuff
The Nitehawk Short Film Festival kicks off tonight with a great line-up of shorts, including the coming-of-age film “Memory Xperiment,” documentary about Brooklyn drag queen Panthera, and an animated memoir about immigrating to the United States. The screening will be followed by a free-to-all Opening Nite Party at the Low-Res Bar downstairs.

Farce-y man
Brooklyn is lousy with Shakespeare in the Park productions, but Moliere in the Park? That’s unusual! Tonight, the 17th century French satirist gets his due, when Emmy-winning “Handmaid’s Tale” actress Samira Wiley stars in a staged reading of his “The School for Wives” — in an English translation, fortunately.

Off the wall
Art galleries can be a little intimidating, but the “Art, Beats & Lyrics” festival, which lands at the Brooklyn Expo tonight, aims to break down barriers between people, music, and art — and they do it with booze! Sample drinks made with Jack Daniels’ Tennessee Honey, groove to the music, and wander through a maze of enormous art.
