Heaven knows he’s Mexican now! Former Smiths frontman Morrissey is beloved South of the Border, and for Cinco de Mayo the seven-piece act Mexrissey — a Morrissey cover band from Mexico City — will perform his songs with a Spanish twist, presenting the dramatic dirges with a heavy dose of horns.

Rock the rights

Sky’s the limit

The CAKE comedy tour (acronymed for the names of stand-ups Carrie Gravenson, Abbi Crutchfield, Kaytlin Bailey, and Erin Judge) paid for its 10-city tour with Kickstarter pledges, but to get your ticket, you just have to promise to show up at the swank Kickstarter headquarters for an evening of laughs, drinks, and cake.
