It’s the Fab Four fantasy epic you never knew you wanted! In “The Beatles Present ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Musical,’ ” the lads from Liverpool act out all the roles in J.R.R. Tolkien’s trilogy, adapting their famous tunes to the Middle-Earth setting, while Yoko Ono intrudes as a Gollum-like figure.. You’ve got two chances to catch the goofy play tonight.

Cutting edge

The mysterious masked duo that makes up Magic Sword will use synth sounds, neon lights, and comic book multi-media projections to reveal the epic story of a weapon of infinite power (the eponymous magic sword, naturally) and its enigmatic guardian. It is basically a video game come to life, and we’re all for it.

Wax on!

Get an advance look at “Dirty Work at the Wax Works,” the latest Halloween extravaganza from Coney Island impresario Dick Zigun. The demented and gory story, which involves figures at a Presidential Wax Works coming to life to terrorize the night watchman, officially opens Oct. 14, but you can snag two tickets to this preview for just $20.

From screen to stage

He’s a hip-hop dancing bad boy. She’s a disciplined ballet dancer. Together, they make magic! It’s not just the plot of the films “Save the Last Dance,” “Street Dance,” “Step Up,” and “Step Up 2: The Streets” — it will happen live on stage in “Monchichi,” a choreographic study of cultural identities, starring b-boy Sébastien Ramir and ballerina Honji Wang.

Jazz it up

The three-day Bric JazzFest Marathon — an extravaganza of jazz performances happening in all corners of the sprawling arts complex — kicks off tonight, and for this first night you can catch all 10 amazing acts for free (if you reserve tickets in advance). Among the stars will be the David Murray Infinity Quartet, Inyang Bassey with special guest guitarist Binky Griptite, and amazing trumpeter Kenyatta Beasley (pictured).

Clothes make the Maia: In “The Beatles Present ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Musical,’” opening at the Brick on Oct. 6, the Fab Four improvise outfits to play the lead characters in Tolkien’s epic, with a Santa hat and beard turning George Harrison into Gandalf.
