Sin the sack

In “The Krampus: A Punk Rock Play with Songs” a group of friends gather in a bar to trade stories about Santa’s terrifying helper (pictured). They also sing bawdy versions of Christmas carols, so you know these people are going into the Krampus bag.

The empire strikes back

As the nights get colder, it is once again time for the strongest, sweetest beers you can find. The Owl Farm beer bar helps out with an Imperial Stout Festival, opening two different kegs of the high-octane black liquid each night from Dec. 11–20, so if you stop by tonight there should be plenty of options to keep you warm.

2 pm–4 am at the Owl Farm [297 Ninth St. between Fourth and Fifth avenues in Park Slope, (718) 499–4988, www.theowlfarm.com]. Free (admission, not the beer).

Black gold: Park Slope’s Owl Farm bar hosts an Imperial Stout Festival from Dec. 11–20, with two new kegs opened each night and flowing until they kick.
